The Basic Rock Climbing Course conducted by the General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure (GETHNAA) is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of rock climbing, technical rope skills, climbing equipment, safety systems, climbing techniques, risk management and basic rescue procedures.
The course combines theoretical knowledge with extensive practical training, giving participants an opportunity to understand the principles of rock climbing and develop the skills required to participate in climbing activities safely and confidently.

Introduction to Rock Climbing
Participants are introduced to the fundamentals of rock climbing, including:

Clove hitch
Joining knots
Basic rope handling
Rope management
Belay systems

The course develops the fundamental movement skills required for rock climbing, including:
