ACCREDITATION
The Accreditation is the act of affirmation of the Academy that the Adventure organization has the capabilities to Conduct Adventure Activities on Commercial basis.

To register as a accredited company/clubs under the General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure. To follow the Standard Operating Procedure ensuring safety while at adventure
Rules for Accreditation of Adventure Organisations
1. Short Title
These Rules may be called "Rules of accreditation of adventure organisations by General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure"
2. Definitions
In these rules, unless the context means otherwise all the words and phrases carry the usual meaning and include.
Academy means General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure, Bangalore.
Accreditation Committee is the committee constituted by the Governing council for the purpose of Evaluation and Certification of a Company or a Firm conducting Commercial operations;
Accreditation is the act of affirmation of the Academy that the Adventure organisation has the capabilities to Conduct Adventure Activities on Commercial basis.
Adventure Organisation means any organisation including Clubs formed by educational institutions; Foundations, trusts and firms constituted as per law; and Companies incorporated Under Companies Act which are involved in activities, programmes and / or schemes Connected with Aqua, Aero and Terrestrial adventure activities; or conducting adventure activity on commercial basis;
Department means the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
Governing council means the Governing Council of General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure.
Government means the Government of Karnataka.
3. Accreditation:
In case of Companies, Firms and/or Organisation managing Adventure Activity as a commercial venture shall apply in writing to the Director General of the Academy with the following documents:
Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation;
List of Board of Directors along with their Professional qualifications and Address;
The Company shall furnish complete list of trained professionals on roll with documents/ Certifications of Skills, Competencies' and Training in the prescribed form;
The Company shall furnish the list of necessary Standard Equipments of approved quality;
The Standard Operating Procedure being followed for maintenance of Equipments of approved quality;
The Standard Operating Procedure for Safety and Security of the people participating in Adventure Activities;
The Standard Operating Procedure for Emergencies and contingencies management;
Copies of obligatory approvals obtained from the District Administration and other concerned Department. (Tourism Development Committee chairman, Village Panchayat, Police Department & Forest Department - (if property is in Forest Area))
4. Procedure for Accreditation:
In case of Companies, Firms and/or Organisations managing Adventure Activity as a commercial venture the Director General shall satisfy himself that:
The Company has the requisite trained professionals on roll.
The Company has the necessary Standard Equipments of approved quality.
The company his the necessary Standard Operating Procedure for maintenance of Equipments of approved quality;
The Company has the necessary Standard Operating Procedure for Safety and Security of the people participating in Adventure Activities;
The Company has the necessary Standard Operating Procedure for Emergencies and contingencies management;
Necessary approvals have been obtained from the District Administration and other concerned Departments;
After detailed inspection by the Accreditation Committee constituted for this purpose by the Governing Council and on its recommendation.
5. Authority for According Accreditation:
In case of Companies involved in Commercial Operations the Director General shall satisfy himself that all the requirements as per rule 5(B) above have been fulfilled and accord Accreditation with the prior approval of the Governing Council;
6. Change of Bye-Law and Procedure Thereon:
Any change in the Bye-laws of the organisation shall be brought to the Notice of the Academy within 30 days of such changes coming into force;
7. Duration:
The Accreditation granted shall be valid up to one year from the date of issue;
The Accreditation will become void unless renewed within 90 days from the beginning of the next financial year as per the procedure prescribed under these rules;
8. Renewal:
Each Accredited Adventure Organisation shall apply for renewal of its Accreditation to the Academy along with the following documents.
A copy of the proceedings of the recently held General Body Meeting/Board of Directors.
An Audited statement of accounts of the previous year.
The list of Office bearers for the new financial year
A detail report of its Activities.
9. Non-renewal:
Unless renewed as prescribed above the Accreditation shall be deemed to have been cancelled and the Organisation / Company shall lose its accredited status. The name of such organisation shall be deleted from the Roster of Accredited organisations and the same shall be communicated to all the Authorities which have been associated with the organisation/Company.
Explanation:
For purposes of this Rule, any activity shall be deemed to be undesirable if such activity is an offence punishable under any provision of law for the time being in force; utilisation of the centre and its resources for political purposes and plying any type of Gambling or illegal activities shall also be regarded as undesirable activities.
